Description

39 The Strand is a building that dates from the 17th to 18th century and has undergone significant alterations, possibly being converted from two houses. It has a late Georgian appearance, enhanced by a recently added Dutch gable. The exterior features a pebble-dash finish and includes sash windows facing the road, one of which has a sun-blind casing. A portion of the front is set back and features a late Georgian bow. The building is two storeys high with three windows, all of which are sashes with glazing bars. Inside, there is a staircase and plaster ceilings that reflect the period. The roof is slate. This building is part of a group of listed buildings along The Strand.
