Description

38 The Strand is a late 17th-century house located in Topsham. It is two storeys high with attics and features a roughcast exterior. The front of the house has two windows facing the road and is topped with a Dutch gable. The windows are 18th-century sash windows. The garden front has been largely altered but includes a projecting porch with a room above it. There are two notable early 19th-century Gothic French windows and a 19th-century sash window in the gable attic. The property retains its original cow-byre with furnishings at the rear, which is unique among the buildings in the area. All the listed buildings on The Strand are part of a group.
