Description

This is a late 17th-century building in Topsham, altered over time and built of roughcast cob. The garden front features mostly wood casement windows. The gable end facing the road has a restored Dutch gable and sash windows; one window has a modern sash at the bottom with glazing bars above. A central chimney stack is present. It is likely that this building was not originally a merchant house, but it was given a Dutch gable to resemble one. The listed buildings along The Strand form a group.
