Description
The Ship Inn is an early 19th-century building located at 1578 The Strand. It now includes a former warehouse within the same block. The structure has three storeys and features three windows. The ground and first floors are finished in painted brick, while the second floor is hung with tiles. The roof is hipped and tiled, and the glazing bars are intact. The windows on the ground and first floors have cambered head linings, and there is a porch supported by wooden Doric columns. The Ship Inn, along with the warehouses or granaries and No 15 Wish Ward, forms a group at the corner of The Strand and Wish Ward.
