Description

Nos 1 and 2 on Friars Road are two houses that were originally three separate homes. They feature 18th-century fronts, but No 2 dates back to around 1500 and has been refurbished in the 17th century. This building has a crown post roof and stands two storeys high with an attic. It has five windows and four dormers. The ground floor is made of red brick with grey headers, while the upper part is tile-hung. The tiled roof is intact, and the glazing bars are preserved, except for the southernmost bay, which has casement windows. No 2 includes a doorway topped with a pediment.
