Workhouse, now hospital. Circa 1835. Render grooved as ashlar, overhanging eaves cornice, slate roofs, rendered stacks. Square blockfacing north-east. Three storeys, 8 bays: second floor segmental-headed openings with 12-pane sash windows, third and sixth bays blocked, first floor square-headed 16-pane sash widnow with third bay blocked, ground floor square-headed 20-pane sash windows, glazing bars removed in fourth bay, entrances third and sixth bays, semi-circular headed openings with fanlights and plank doors obscured by late C19/early C20 flat-roofed porches. Right return, original though irregular fenestration; other elevations altered or obscured by additions.
