Description

26 George Street is a building dating from approximately 1810 to 1820. Constructed of red brick, it features a heavy stucco cornice, a parapet, and coping. The building is tall, with three storeys and three windows wide. The first and second floors have sash windows with glazing bars, each set within a flat brick arch and stone cills. A moulded stone cornice sits above a modern shop front. Cast iron rainwater heads are also present. The listed buildings along George Street form a notable group.
