Description

Nos 24A, 25, and 25A on George Street date from around 1800. The buildings are primarily red brick, with Nos 26 and 25A featuring painted brick and blue headers. They have stone cills and a parapet, standing three storeys tall with an attic beneath a slate mansard roof. The façade is four windows wide, with sash windows featuring glazing bars and flat brick arches on the first and second floors. There are four flat-headed dormers with sashes. The ground floor includes two late 19th-century shop fronts; No 24A has carved consoles and a blind case, while No 25 has been much altered. All listed buildings on George Street form a group.
