Description

The Post Office, located at No 20 George Street, is an early 19th-century building. It is finished in stucco and features a parapet and cornice. The structure has three storeys and is three windows wide. The first and second floors each have three two-storeyed segmental bowed bays containing sash windows with glazing bars. Between these bays are tall, narrow moulded panels. The ground floor of No 20 has a late Victorian shop front with a projecting fascia and a blind case. Nos 21 and 22 have modern facades with a rusticated rendered surround. All listed buildings on George Street are part of a group.
