Description

No 9 East Parade is a corner house built around 1790. It features a simple and elegant design with a plastered wood frame and a tiled hipped roof, complemented by moulded eaves. The building has three storeys and a basement, with its seafront facade consisting of one window. The first and second floors have canted bay windows with sashes that do not have glazing bars, while the ground floor has a sash window without glazing bars as well. On the right-hand side, facing east, there are steps leading to a fielded panel door topped by a small segmental fanlight with glazing bars. Above the door, there is one sash window, and another sash window is located to the side, both of which also lack glazing bars. Nos 1 to 11 East Parade form a group, with No 3 being of local interest only.
