Description
Crofthaven is a building dating from around 1780. It features a wood frame and is tile-hung with wooden tiles. The half-hipped roof is covered with new tiles. The building rises three storeys and has bow windows with three sashes that include glazing bars, along with a dentilled cornice and slate-hanging between the floors. There is a small sliding window on the top floor in the half-hipped gable. The right-hand side has a panelled door with a hood and steps, and above it is a sash window with glazing bars. At the rear, there is a half-hipped gable that is weatherboarded, along with a small 18th-century weatherboarded rear wing that faces Croft Road. This wing has a brick base, is two storeys high, features horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars, and has a hipped tile roof. Crofthaven is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 11 (odd) and Nos 15 to 23 (odd).
