Description
This is a building on Station Road, Halstead, originally dating back to the 17th century or earlier, and likely once a larger house. It has a half-hipped, tiled roof with an off-centre chimney. The building's structure is timber-framed with weatherboarded walls. It is two storeys high, with three windows in total. The windows are sash windows, some dating to the 18th and 19th centuries, featuring glazing bars. One window is a modern canted bay. There are three plain, boarded front doors; the door to number 44 is sheltered by a modern gabled hood, while the others are covered by older, flat hoods.
