Description

The Fishing Net and Tackle Store, located immediately west of The Net Shop Jellied Eel Bar on Rock-a-Nore Road, is likely from the 18th century. The building has a rendered ground floor with tarred weatherboarding above and stands three storeys tall and slim. There is a door on each floor, and it features a saddle-back roof. This store is probably modeled on an earlier structure and is an isolated example, as the nearby buildings have been rebuilt entirely and converted into a jellied eel bar, making this one a distinctive feature of the town.
