Description

The garden wall, gates, and gate piers located in front and southeast of Old Hastings House date from the 18th century. The low garden wall is constructed of brick and features central brick gate piers topped with moulded stone caps and bases. There is a wrought iron overthrow and gates. To the left, there is a section of wall that is higher, with moulded stone coping and flat brick buttresses. Old Hastings House, along with its garden walls and gates, forms a group with Torfield House.
