Description

Dunroamin, located at No 33 Croft Road in St Just, is a pair of houses built around 1820, with rainwater heads dated 1821 and 1822. The buildings are stuccoed and feature a parapet, cornice, and bands, rising three storeys above a basement. They present a unified appearance with nine windows across the front. The corner site has a central window that is set back, flanked by curved sections that extend around the corner on both sides. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, some of which are blind. On the first floor, each house has three French windows, although one of the French windows in No 33 is blocked. No 33 features ornate cast iron balconettes, while No 31 has a balcony supported by shaped brackets and slim columns, topped with a tent-shaped copper hood and a plain iron balustrade at the front.

The doorways are located in a central recess for No 31, which is accessed by four steps, while No 33's doorway is on the right. Both doorways are framed by moulded architraves with rounded heads and semi-circular fanlights with radial glazing bars, leading to six-fielded panel doors with moulded details. Additionally, there are good contemporary iron area railings along the entire width of the property, featuring arrow-head shafts and turned newels with urn finials.

Nos 5 to 35 (odd) form a group with architectural significance.
