7/2 Poundgreen Farmhouse

II

Hall house, now farmhouse. Early C16 extended C17, altered early C18 and C19. Mostly brick with vitreous headers in part, and part timber framed. Old tiled gabled roof. L-plan with 2 x 1 framed bays and outshot at rear in angle. 2 storeys. Flanking chimneys on left and C17 chimney on ridge in centre. South front: toothed brick eaves. 3 irregular bays of 3-light small pane C19 casements, similar but taller on ground floor, window on right blocked; to left of this a C20 small pane glazed door. Above this a date stone inscribed P'B East Front: One bay gable with 1730 one bay of 2-light C19 iron casements to right of centre, planked entrance door to left with pent tile roof on carved brackets. Interior: Large inglenook chimney and some timber frame exposed.
