Description
Buttercups is a house dating from the 17th century, which has been altered and refaced in the 18th century and later. The roof has been raised over the older sections. It is primarily timber framed and mostly roughcast, with an old tile roof. The house has two storeys. The north front features a tile-hung gabled bay that slightly projects to the left, with a 2-light 19th-century casement window above a 5-light angular bay with diamond leading. The central part of the front has two bays with slightly irregular 18th-century square-paned sliding casements in architrave frames, along with a ledged entrance door. To the right, there is one bay with a similar upper window and a mid-19th-century angular bay that matches the one in the gabled bay.
