Description
Peacocks is a cottage that dates from the late 18th century, with later alterations to a 17th-century timber-framed structure. It features an outshut at the rear with a catslide roof and is colourwashed on roughcast with an old tile roof that is half hipped. The building stands two storeys high with attics.
On the northeast front, there are two late angular bay windows on the first floor, each with a small cornice and cill supported by brackets. The ground floor has a 3-light timber casement window on the left and a 4-light window on the right, along with a half-glazed 20th-century central door beneath a 19th-century porch. The southeast front has a similar bay window in the upper right corner, also featuring a half hipped old tile roof.
Inside, many original timbers are visible, including some joists that have chamfers and stopped ends.
