Description

Elder Cottage is a house that dates from the 16th and 17th centuries. It features a mix of brick and timber framing, though false timbers have been added to the exterior, which is covered in colour washed roughcast. The building has an old tile roof and flanking chimneys, and it stands two storeys high. The north-east front includes a projecting gable located roughly in the centre. There is an early 18th-century extension on the left side and a 20th-century extension to the left and rear. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements. Inside, most of the timber frame is exposed.
