Description

This barn, located approximately 15 metres south west of Hutt's Farmhouse, dates back to the late 16th century and has been altered in the 20th century. It is currently used for domestic storage and as a garage. The structure is timber framed with some brick infill and weatherboarding, topped with an old tiled gabled roof. It has an L-shaped plan consisting of three by two framed bays. On the south front, two 20th-century leaded casement windows have been added. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, featuring jowled posts on the gables, a queen post roof, and clasped through purlins. Some of the timbers have been replaced over time.
