Description
11 Thames Street is a late 17th century or early 18th century building that has been stuccoed and altered in the mid 19th century. It is a narrow three-storey structure topped with a steep hipped roof covered in old tiles and featuring a deep eaves cornice. The second floor has two casement windows set in broad surrounds, with a moulded drop finial string at head level and a moulded sill band. The first floor showcases ornate window surrounds. The shop front includes a cornice over a deep concave soffit and a bracketed fascia, with a window featuring three colonetted lights. This building is part of an important group that includes No 2 Thames Street, Knights Tavern, and Nos 5 to 16 and 18 to 25 Thames Street.
