No 2 Thames Street is a building dating from around 1890, featuring a timber-framed Jacobean front. It stands four storeys tall with painted plastered infill and has two gables, one of which jetties over the third floor. The building has two leaded casement windows and a two-storey oriel bay on the left side, extending from the first and second floors. On the right side, there is a four-light window on the first floor, which has a tent hood and a wooden balustrade in front. The ground floor features a stained wood pilastered bank front with an arched entrance that has carved spandrels. This building is included for its group interest, as it forms part of an important group with Knights Tavern and Nos 5 to 16 and Nos 18 to 25 Thames Street.
