Description

This is a pair of houses, numbered 18 and 19 Trinity Place, dating from around 1840 to 1850. The ground floor is faced with grooved stucco, while the upper floors are of stock brick. A rusticated string course runs between the floors, and the eaves cornice projects to conceal the roof. Each house has two windows. Number 18 features stucco architraves around the upper-floor windows, along with a large, pilastered bay window on the ground floor, a cornice, and a pierced stone parapet. Number 19 has a tripartite window on the ground floor, protected by an ornate iron flower guard. Numbers 1 to 23 (inclusive) on Trinity Place, along with Holy Trinity Church and numbers 1 to 10 (inclusive) on Claremont Road, form a group of buildings with group value.
