Description

The Church of Holy Trinity, built between 1842 and 1844 by Edward Blore, is located on an island site that closes the vista at Trinity Place. The church is constructed of uniform buff brick and features thin Early English architectural details. Its tower, topped with a spire, is integrated into the west front of the building. Inside, the church has a broad nave with galleries on three sides, supported by quatrefoil arcade piers that bear four-centred arches. The clerestory and transepts add to the interior's spaciousness. The church, along with the adjacent properties numbered 1 to 23 on Trinity Place and 1 to 10 on Claremont Road, forms a cohesive group.
