Description
The greenhouse and adjoining wall, located approximately 50 meters to the north-west of Aldermaston Court, date from the mid-19th century. The structure features a cast iron and glass design set on a low brick wall, with an additional brick wall at the rear. It has a two-span roof adorned with ridge cresting and trefoil panels in the gable ends. The greenhouse is one storey high and consists of five bays, supported by columns with moulded bases and capitals. The columns feature four-centered arched panels with quatrefoils in the spandrels and glazing bars with small diamond panels at the intersections. There is a four-centered arch on the south-west side that includes two doors. Inside, there is a central five-bay arcade of columns with moulded bases and capitals. The wall to the south-west is approximately 40 meters long and 3 meters high.
