Description

The Pavilion on the River Kennet is a picnic pavilion built around 1890. It features a rustic flint exterior with projecting grey brick piers and a dentil cornice. The roof is hipped and tiled, with a chimney located on the northwest side. The south front is canted and includes arched recesses with mullion and transomed windows that have leaded lights. There is a brick plinth with circular openings. On the east side, there is a fine six-panelled door adorned with studs and a door knocker. Inside, the pavilion boasts a Queen Anne style fireplace.
