Description
The gatehouse to Chilton Lodge was built around 1900, likely designed by Sir Arthur Blomfield. It is constructed of brick with a pebbledashed frieze and features a slate roof. The building is one storey with an attic, and has projecting gables on either side that include keyed oculi. The entrance consists of a round-headed door, and there are wooden casement windows that are tripartite, with the center window raised as a round arch. All windows have gauged brick arches and cut aprons. The roof is hipped and includes a dormer with a small gablet, along with two tall chimneys. The bargeboards are moulded and dentilled.
