Description

10 West Mills is an early 19th century town house. It is two storeys high with dormers and has four windows. A photograph from 1867 shows that the building was originally double-fronted with a central doorway, which is now blocked, and lacked the first-floor window positioned above the side passage. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles, with tall brick stacks. The front of the building is rendered. It has two dormer windows with sashes. The recessed sash windows have glazing bars, and there is a blind window on the first floor above what was formerly the entrance. A round-arched side entrance, located at the west end, now leads to the modern entrance of 11 West Mills.
