Description
Seale House is a town house from the 18th century that was refronted in the mid-19th century. It has a rendered exterior on what is likely rubble, and features an asbestos slate roof with two raking roof dormers that contain 20th-century 12-pane, 2-light casements. There is an outbuilt breast of a former end stack on the left side. The house was originally designed with a single-depth plan but is now two rooms deep, with probably two front rooms flanking a central entrance hall. It is two storeys high plus an attic, with a symmetrical front that has two windows. The first floor has late 19th-century 4-pane horned sash windows, while the ground floor features 20th-century bowed windows with glazing bars. The central doorway is topped by a late 19th-century moulded hood supported on consoles, leading to a 20th-century planked door. The interior has not been inspected but may still have original features of interest. This building is included for its group value with No. 64.
