Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters to the south-west of Streatley Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has later additions. It features a timber frame with a flint and brick plinth, and is clad in weatherboarding. The roof is covered with old tiles and is half hipped to the east, with a projecting hipped waggon entrance to the south and a large late 19th-century projecting gabled cart entrance to the north, which includes aisles. The structure consists of six framed bays, with an aisle to the south in the three western bays, and opposed waggon entrances in the third bay from the east. There is a pair of large doors in the gable end facing west. Inside, the barn has queen post trusses supported by transverse and longitudinal bracing.
