Description
94 Northbrook Street is an early 19th-century refronting of a former 17th-century house. The building stands three storeys tall with a symmetrical front featuring three bays. It has a slate roof and a stucco front, which includes incised panels on the quoins that rise through the first and second floors. There is an eaves cornice, and the architraved sash windows have eaves, bracketed sills, and glazing bars. The first-floor windows are flanked by side-lights next to a blind central window that has a console-bracketed pediment, while the second floor also features a blind central window. The building has an interesting late 19th-century shopfront with a bracketed cornice that is decorated with an enriched pendant. There is a passage entrance at the north end, and the west (rear) elevation has been rebuilt.
