Description
This drinking fountain, located approximately 15 meters east of the Old Corner Shop on Bath Road in Woolhampton, was built in 1897 and showcases a Gothic architectural style. It is constructed from red brick accented with lighter brick bands, stone dressings, and features marble columns. The fountain has an old tile roof topped with a finial and a weathervane. Its design includes a half-octagon plan and a three-bay font, supported by round piers with moulded bases and foliated capitals. The arches are adorned with hood moulds. An inscription reads: "Righteousness exalteth a nation. Victoria R.I. Diamond Jubilee. 1897."
