Description
Brook House is a house, later converted into a hotel, dating to around 1840. It is built of white painted stucco with a slate roof. The roof is hipped at the front, with a gabled dormer window featuring a casement, bargeboards, and a finial. Chimneys are located to the left and at the rear. The house is two storeys high with four bays. It has glazing bar sash windows. The first-floor windows have flat, bracketed hoods. Large 24-light windows are on the ground floor, flanking a central three-panelled door with a reeded architrave, a radial fanlight, and a 20th-century semi-circular hood. The building is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
