Description

The Old Post Office is a mid-18th century building, originally a post office and now a shop. It is constructed of painted brick with a plat band marking the level of the first-floor window sills. A prominent feature is a central, first-floor arch, which is blank and has a raised architrave, impost blocks, and a keystone. The roof is gabled to the front and has a stack on the right side. The building is two storeys high, with three bays. The first floor has glazing bar sashes. A central boarded door is flanked by large, 20th-century shop windows.
