Description
This is a barn located to the south-east of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The structure features flint and brick walls topped with an old tile roof. It is a long range consisting of three sections. The southern section has four bays from the 18th century, with aisles, short queen struts, high tie butt purlins, and wind bracing. The entry is located in the third bay from the south. The central link bay connects to the northern section, which has five bays, with the two northernmost bays floored. This section has a plain single tie roof with two butt purlins and wind braces to the high purlin. It was formerly aisled, but the aisle posts have been removed to the level of the present wall plate. The rafters are pegged.
