Description

Gower Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It features a combination of painted brick and timber framing with brick infill. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a large central chimney at the center of the east wing, along with a smaller chimney at the center of the west wing. The building is arranged in an L shape.

The east wing has two storeys, with timber framing on the first floor and a gable facing the road that shows remnants of a jetty. There is a central casement window on each floor, and an extension with a catslide roof to the left. The west elevation includes one casement window and a plain boarded door beneath a gabled hood, with a sash window above. The west wing is one storey with an attic, constructed of brick, and features two irregular casement windows along with a plain boarded door beneath a gabled hood and a gabled dormer above. There are also garage doors located at the far right.
