Description
Gable House is a cottage dating from the 16th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill on the right side and painted brick on the left. The roof is made of old tiles and the building is arranged in an L shape with a large chimney at the junction. It stands two storeys tall. On the left side, there is one cambered headed casement window on the ground floor and one casement window on the first floor. The right side has a gabled and jettied timber frame with an angled bay under the jetty on the ground floor and one casement window to the left of centre on the first floor. The structure displays plain square framing, queen post trusses, and curved braces to the main posts.
