Description

Easton Lodge is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with additions and refronting from the 18th and 19th centuries. The building is constructed of brick, featuring part Flemish bond with grey headers and red stretchers, as well as part red brick with some exposed timber framing. The roof is tiled and consists of three blocks that form a rough L shape.

The north-east block is two storeys high, dating from the 18th century, with a 19th-century front on the north-east side. It has a hipped and half-hipped roof, brick dentil eaves, and gauged flat arches. The south-east block is one and a half storeys, combining elements from the 17th and 19th centuries. It features a large stack at the junction of the blocks, one bay of framing, and a flat-headed 2-light dormer.

The south-west block is two storeys tall and from the 19th century, with a hipped roof and overhanging eaves. The north-east elevation has three windows, with the centre blocked, featuring glazing bar sashes on the first floor and tripartite glazing bar sashes on the ground floor, along with an entrance on the north-west side. The south-east elevation has a blank bay to the left, a central bay with an exposed timber post and curved braces, a 3-light casement with an eaves dormer above, and the gable end of the north-east block to the right, which includes one glazing bar sash on the first floor and a tripartite sash with a cambered head on the ground floor.
