Description

The kitchen garden wall, located to the northeast of Welford Park, dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of red and blue brick in a chequer pattern, with a brick coping, and stands between 3 and 4 metres high. The wall encloses a rectangular garden that measures approximately 80 by 30 metres. At the southwest corner, there is a short span of wall that is about 6 metres long and 2 metres high, which ends in a pier featuring a stone base and a corniced cap that matches the design of the nearby Coachman's House and Stable Block.
