Description

1 Brunswick Place is a building dating from around 1835. It has two storeys and a basement, with a stuccoed exterior. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring wide eaves cornices. The front has three sash windows with vertical glazing bars. The first-floor windows are adorned with moulded architraves and a panel above, while the ground-floor windows are three-light with cornices, a flat hood over the centre light, and console brackets separating the lights. There is a Tuscan portico and a round-headed doorcase with a fanlight. Steps lead down to the street, and there are cast iron stair and area railings. The building is marked "Established 1835."
