Description

The sundial, built in 1902, is located in Andrews Park off Above Bar Street and was erected to commemorate the Coronation of Edward VII. It features a stone base with a bronze sundial set on an octagonal stone plinth that has two stages. The sides of the plinth are intricately carved with the emblems of the British Isles, including the rose, leek, shamrock, and thistle, as well as a depiction of the head of Edward VII. An inscription encircles the top of the sundial.
