Description

The monument to Richard Andrews, located in Andrews Park, was created in 1860 by sculptor Benjamin Brain. It features a full-length stone figure set on a drum-shaped stone base. Richard Andrews, who lived from 1798 to 1859, was a renowned coach builder with a manufactory on Above Bar Street and served as Mayor of Southampton five times.
