Description

Symonds House, built in 1833, is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features a stucco exterior, wide eaves, and a hipped slate roof. The east front has three windows, one of which is blocked, and a central door that is topped by a Tuscan portico. This entrance is situated at the top of a small terrace and is accessed by steps. The door is panelled and has a rectangular light above it. The sash windows on this front include glazing bars. The house is set back from the road and is flanked by plain garden walls along the road verge, enhancing its setting. The south front has three windows fitted with sliding shutters and 19th-century sashes.
