Description
No. 12 St Thomas Street is a large, plain red brick house built in 1833. It has three storeys and features blue brick courses between the storeys, along with moulded brick strings on the side elevations. The building has a moulded brick cornice and a brick parapet. There are five windows, two of which are blank. The central entrance is notable for its good arched door with a fanlight, supported by Roman Ionic engaged columns and topped with an open pediment. The door itself is moulded, made of wood, and has panelled reveals. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. The house has a hipped roof covered with old tiles.
