Description

Nos. 9 and 10, St Thomas Street, date from the later 18th century. They are two storeys and have an attic. The buildings are constructed of red brick with burnt headers, a moulded and bracketed brick cornice which is painted, and a brick parapet with stone coping. The roof is covered in old tiles. There are four windows per floor, fitted with 19th-century early sliding shutters. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A fine doorway features engaged Tuscan columns, a carved and reeded frieze, a moulded pediment, and a panelled door. Three modern dormers have been added. The buildings are part of a group of listed buildings along St Thomas Street.
