Description
The County Court, built between 1851 and 1853, features an elaborate Italianate design. It has a prominent two-storey central section flanked by two single-storey wings. The building is constructed of yellow brick, accented with rusticated stucco quoins and a cornice. The central area includes a recessed arch with rusticated stucco voussoirs and displays the Royal Arms above the cornice, which extends across at the springing of the arch. The top of the central feature has an additional cornice supported by overhanging curved brackets. Each side wing contains two windows and a rusticated arch, which leads to a secondary entrance. The property is also enclosed by cast iron area railings.
