Description
The Magistrates Court, built around 1861, is located on Thame High Street. This single-storey building is designed in the Italianate style and constructed from red brick with a slate hipped roof. It features panelled brick end stacks and additional brick stacks at the rear. The court has a four-bay range arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern, with brick rusticated pilasters at both ends and on either side of the two central bays. The front is arcaded, and there is a six-panel door to the left of the centre, complete with a fanlight and a recessed surround. All openings are fitted with bordered horned round-headed sash windows that have recessed surrounds, moulded brick round arches, keystones, and moulded stone impost bands. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
