Description

The building, now part of Courage's Brewery, was likely once a malthouse and is set in a picturesque location by the River Kennet. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of red brick. The structure is 2 and a half storeys high with a mansard tiled roof and features seven bays. The north side has been altered and includes two dormers. On the south side, there are large segmental-headed windows on the ground floor and smaller windows on the first floor, both with wooden lintels and cast iron glazing bars. The gable ends have lunettes.
