Description

Laundry Cottage and stable at the west end of the barn at Coleypark Farm is an early 17th-century building. It is two storeys high and constructed of English bond brick, featuring later windows, including a three-light casement on the first floor and a small window on the ground floor. The door is located to the left, and the old tile roof extends continuously over the stable.

The stable itself dates from the early 18th century and is made of red brick in Flemish bond, incorporating a coachhouse. It has flanking banded brick piers and a plinth with chamfered stone capping. There is a door to the left and an arch with a stone key to the right, which is adorned with rubbed brick dressings and a raised band above. Some blue bricks are present in the construction.

To the right, there is a single-storey extension with two blind windows that have stone keys and offset eaves courses leading to a slate roof. The structure returns to the west, featuring a banded pier to the left and three blind windows with stone keys. It connects to a gabled feature that has flanking banded piers, English bond brickwork, and a central segmental arched entrance. Above the door, there is a date stone inscribed with "T1619V" and a keyed oculus. The crow-stepped gable and upper parts have undergone modern repairs.
