Garden House North West Of Chicheley Hall

The Garden House, located northwest of Chicheley Hall, is a small building from the 18th century, likely built around the same time as the hall itself. It is situated close to the northeast side of the quadrant link. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and features a flat roof behind a stone-coped parapet with brick aprons. It is a single storey with two doors at the center, each topped with flat gauged brick arches and heavy triple panelled keyblocks. The right-hand door opens to a six-fielded panel door, while the left-hand door has a flush panel design. There are two narrow sash windows on each side, also with flat gauged arches and triple keyblocks. Inside, the right-hand room contains fragments of 18th-century enriched bolection moulded panelling, while the left-hand room features fielded panelling and a box cornice. The original purpose of the building is unclear.
